Facts about cellulite
Cellulite is caused by cell metabolism disturbance.
Cellulite fatty cells form clusters surrounded by fibrous connective tissue. Enlarged fatty cells press blood and lymphoma veins, which disturbs the bloodstream and the lymphatic circulation, which reduces cell metabolism and oxygen supply. The tissue accumulates fat and fluids. The further the cellulite has progressed, the larger chunks of fat cells form up and the more lumpy the skin is.
Cellulite has three stages of development.
1-degree cellulite fatty cells have slightly increased. This is indicated by the so-called orange-skin tissue region when squeezing with fingers.
In 2nd degree cellulite, fat cells are clearly enlarged and form clusters. Cellulite tissue stands out as a plump while standing and especially when viewed from the side.
At 3rd stage, fat cells are grouped into large macronodules. Cellulite tissue is clearly visible and can be a tender to the touch and painful.
Cellulite on the neck
The most common occurrences of cellulite are on buttocks, thighs, hips and belly. Cellulite can also be formed into calves, upper arms, knees and even neck.
Nine women out of ten have cellulite
Thanks to the estrogen, 80-90 percent of women have cellulite tissue. Because of female hormone, cellulite is occurring more during puberty and pregnancy. Men also may have cellulite. Cellulite is not just women's problem. According to some estimates, up to 40 percent of men have cellulite-recognizable tissue. Mostly this is located in the abdominal area.
Cellulite is a lifestyle phenomenon
Apart from gender, genes and certain diseases and medication, the cause of cellulite consists of lifestyle factors. As a result, cellulite is becoming increasingly common in younger women. Lifestyle factors include digestive problems, abnormal or excessive nutrition, excessive use of tobacco and alcohol, stress, and venous thrombosis and lymph circulation disorders due to lack of exercise or poor ergonomics.
Cellulite does not require overweight
Most often, the weight of a person with cellulite is normal or slightly elevated, but also the slimmer ones have cellulite. The difference between healthy fatty tissue and cellulite is clear: fat is fat, cellulite is encased in fat. In cellulite, fat cells are enlarged and form clusters, which are visible and feel like an orange skin. A large but healthy fat tissue is evenly distributed on the body. It is not lumpy, but soft, because there is little connective tissue around the fat cells.
Cellulite is not age related
Cellulite is found in young, middle-aged and menopausal women. As a result of age, cellulite is increased by, for example, changes in lifestyle, slowed metabolism, and reduction in skin solidity and elasticity, making cellulite more visible. Menopause can either increase or decrease cellulite.
You can fight cellulite
In the treatment of cellulite, the focus is on prevention. Key factors for effective control include a nutritious diet, adequate water drinking, daily exercise, and associated muscle recovery restoration, that is, careful stretching. Other factors are regular skin peeling, moisturizing and precision therapy with cellulite products and care treatments.
Cellulite products are useful
Products for cellulite treatment include active substances that can strengthen the capillary walls, enhance blood and fluid circulation, and trigger fat degradation in fat cells and thus reduce fat deposits. The most popular active ingredient is caffeine, which accelerates both lipid metabolism and fluid circulation.
Cellulitis is not eternal
The more recent or softer cellulite tissue, the better the therapeutic results. Up to 3rd degree cellulite can be reduced, but it takes time and attitude. Treatment should be regular, long-lasting and comprehensive and includes exercise, diet, home care and treatment care.
Home care or professional treatment?
Home care products moisturize, squeeze, enhance skin color and enhance cell metabolism. Peel and scrubbing therapeutic products improve the absorption of active ingredients.
- Clean and dry the skin and add cellulite product only to the problem areas by rubbing.
- Apply the firming or moisturizing body lotion only when the cellulite product has been absorbed.
The methods of cosmetic care treatments and the active ingredients of the products aim at breaking down the cellulite structure and improving the blood and lymph circulation cycle. Treatments prevent the accumulation of fluids in the tissues, enhance cell metabolism, squeeze the surface of the skin, enhance its firmness and color. The decisive difference compared to home care is in efficiency. The best results are achieved by a series of treatments.
